This workshop is designed for anyone suffering from chronic or sporadic back pain, tension or weakness. Discover techniques to help you find more comfort, ease and vitality in your back.
We’ll start by discussing common sources of back pain and ways to safely stretch and strengthen the low back, including:
- Ways to modify your practice of any style of yoga to diminish, heal and avoid re-aggravating back pain
- Movements and poses to avoid as well which to make a part of your regular practice
- Tips for working with common low back issues and injuries including disc degeneration and herniation, sciatica, stenosis and SI joint dysfunction
A 90-minute Forrest yoga-inspired practice designed to enliven the core and strengthen your back will follow. Work, sweat and attain freedom from back pain.
All ages, ability & experience levels welcome. The room will be gently heated to 80-85 degrees to allow the body to move in an easeful, pain-free way.
